New Toys

When we got home from Houston, we opened our presents here. These are two of Tyler's favorite new toys.

His T-Ball set. The boy can hit!

I had to include this picture of Ivy. She loves opening up presents!

Christmas in Houston

We were in Houston this year with Scott's family for Christmas. Scott's brother, Brett and his girlfriend, Carman were there. So was his sister, Stacey. Tyler had fun with everyone.

Tyler had fun opening presents and helping Mommy and Daddy open theirs too.

Tyler's own Dyson

Since we will not be here on Christmas day, we've let Tyler open a few presents. Tonight, he got his very own Dyson vacuum. He is having so much fun with it. Ivy seems to hate it just as much as our big one.

He even moves the furniture to vacuum.

He got out the attachments and cleaned between the cabinets and refrigerator.

String of Lights

It's 8:37 in the morning and we've already painted and made a craft. How crazy is that! I cut shapes of lights on sponges, then Tyler dipped them in paint and put then on the paper. I had to help keep them in a straight line. When they dried, I added the ends to them and the string. It turned out very cute.

Illinois Trip

Tyler and I headed to IL last Thursday and had a great visit. Here are some of the highlights of our trip.

Tyler loved the snow! He liked eating it, making snow balls, being pulled on the sled, shoveling, and making snow angels. One time, he fell and it must have taken him 4 or 5 tries to get it. I was crackin' up. He was so funny.

My Grandma is learning to play the harp-she played Christmas songs for us. Tyler kept asking for more.

My brother, who is moving here in 11 days, graduated.

Tyler had lots of fun with all his cousins! On Thursday, he spotted the tool box and immediately grabbed it and kept it with him anytime we were home. It sat by his bed at night. He loved the drill and fixed everything in the house.

Me with my sweet nephew, Zac. Tyler and Grandpa. My dad is probably enjoying taking showers and getting ready in the morning without Tyler sticking his hand under the door and yelling, Grandpa, Grandpa.

Santa Paws

We went to the Grand Hyatt Hotel downtown today for Story Time with Santa Paws. They teamed up with the Humane Society to put this event on. They had some really cute puppies there, cookies and milk, Santa came to read a story, and each got to take home a play puppy. I think Tyler had a good time.

Candy Cane & Sprinkles

This is the next craft we made. Tyler painted the candy cane red. When it dried we put on cotton balls for the white lines. Again, most of the crafts we do, I get the ideas from www.notimeforflashcards.com

Here is Tyler helping put the sprinkles on the almond bark dipped pretzel sticks.

Christmas Tree

Tyler made a nice Christmas tree today. First, we painted the tree and star. Then while that dried, we punched out shapes for the ornaments, and then we glued it all together.
