Yesterday was Kindergarten Awards day. Tyler got the Most Progress award and of course, Completion of Kindergarten. Hard to believe in 6 school days, he'll be a 1st grader. He's very excited about it. I think he got he Most Progress award for reading. He started at level A, but really wanted to be at B. He'd come home everyday and want to practice and he made it. In Kindergarten, they are supose to be at level B when the year is over. At our conference last month, Mrs. Claville said she'd be testing him again and she thought he'd be at level C. She tested him and he got to level E. We are so proud of him. He'll already be ahead at the start of 1st grade. We'll keep reading over the summer to make sure he doesn't forget anything.

Fun in the Sun
I think summer is here in TX. It has been hot hot hot! Last week, I took Molly to Sea World with some frineds. My pass expires this Friday, so we are going again tomorrow. We're not planning on renewing this year. Molly had a blast!
Tyler and Molly also love playing in water in our backyard.
We finally went to our pool for the first time last week too. The kids had a blast! Last year Molly wasn't walking till July, so I always had to help her in the little pool. This year, she's off by herself and loving it. She even went down the whale slide by herself.

Denver Botanical Garden
We went to the Denver Bontanical Gardens Sunday morning before we headed to the airport. I think it was a little early in the season. A lot more outside will be blooming in the next few months, but we still enjoyed it. Here are some pictures.
The next two pictures were Scott's favorite area. It reminded him of a golf course.
There was some nice and interesting art work all around the gardens.
This painting of flowers above was done on 15,000 of these little ceramic flowers.
They also had a really cute kids area.
Thanks again to Julia and Paul Hvass for watching our kiddos. They had a great time!
| I'd love to have a cute little green house like this in the back yard to sit and read in |

Weekend in Denver
Scott had to go to Denver last week for work Wednesday-Friday. Our wonderful friends, Paul and Julia, watched the kids so I could fly out there Friday for a weekend away. Friday we went downtown Denver to 16th street. The reviews were mixed on trip advisor and we weren't that impressed. But we did eat at this wonderful place called Paramount Cafe. We had a bison burger and it was the best burger I have ever had! That made our trip down there worth it. Then we went to Cherry Creek Mall and looked around for a bit before going out for dessert.
Saturday Scott's sister, Stacey met us and we went to Rocky Mountain National Park and then to Estes Park. The mountains were just amazing. My mom's family lived there while we were growing up so we went there every summer for vacation. I have seen the mountains before, but being young, I don't think I appreciated how awesome they are. They were just beautiful.
We decided to go on horseback ride through Rocky Mountain National Park. It was fun and of course, beautiful! My horse was Flax, Stacey's was Zack, and Scott's was Levi. Levi had a personality of his own. This was their first ride of the season and Levi wasn't sure he wanted to go with the group. He constantly went off the path and wouldn't do what he was suppose to. It was so funny!! I think the horses personality matched his riders! Here are pictures from the ride.
In Estes Park, we looked at cute little shops and had some BBQ chicked Pizza-it was yummy!!
That was our Saturday. Sunday we went to the Denver Botanical Gardens, but I'll have to do that as a seperate post.
