Fun with Family

Monday, the day after Christmas was beautiful out! Tyler was able to have some quality time with his Uncle Brett and Aunt Stacey. They played t-ball, soccer, and football.
This is Uncle Brett showing Tyler how to do a touchdown dance. Tyler was so funny and cute doing a dance after he made his touchdowns.
That evening, we went to the Riverwalk to see all the lights. It was a little chilly out, but not too bad. We had a yummy dinner at The County Line.

Christmas 2011

It was wonderful being home for Christmas this year!! Tyler was so excited to wake up and run downstairs to see what Santa brought him. He also liked helping the rest of us empty our stockings too.Next was time to open presents. First we did presents from us and my family.
This is Tyler new welding mask. It came with a ton of tools-welder, sander, jack hammer, and a saw that has 3 changeable blades. Tyler was in heaven.Molly was having fun just playing with the bow on her present. Big Brother was always ready to help her open her gifts.
After breakfast, we opened gifts from all the Shobes. Here is Molly's new suitcase for when she goes to Grandmas.Later in the day, Molly loved just hanging out with Uncle Brett, Aunt Carman, and Grandpop

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve, we went to the service at church. My mother-in-law had been here a few weekends ago and bought Molly her Christmas dress-it is so adorable. She also bought her little cute shoes, tights, and a sweater to go over her dress with faux fur on it. Here are a few pictures. I was hoping for a better family one when we got home, but Molly's diaper leaked at church and she had to have a wardrobe change.

This is just before bed time. They were all set in their Christmas jammies and we lit the fire place.

Santa

About a week ago we went to see Santa at Bass Pro Shop. Molly sat on his lap without crying and even smiled a little. I'm sure it helped that big brother was there also.

There were other activites to do there also. This was Tyler's first time ever shooting a rifle and he loved it! They had them for sale and he now thinks he needs one.

He also now thinks he needs a 4 wheeler.

Here are my two cuties!

8 Months

You are 8 months old today, Miss Molly. I just love your outfit in this picture. You're such a cutie. You still are a pretty happy baby. You've gotten a little fussy in the past month when it's time for naps or bed. You take two or three naps depending on when you wake up. You had started waking up twice again at night, so you had to cry it out a few times and are now back to waking up once around 4:00 to eat a little then go back down till you get up around 7:00. I can live with that. You eat 3 meals a day now and just nurse from me before your naps or bedtime. You still have no teeth, but chew on everything, so maybe soon you'll get some. You've just started trying to drink out of a sippy cup. You still love to just sit and play with your toys. You have a few favorite toys. You like your jumparoo and other toys that light up and have buttons to push and things like that. You like to read and have a few favorite books. Peek-a-boo still makes you laugh. I cover up a toy and ask you where it went and you pull the blanket off it. You like it when I build a tower with blocks and then you knock it over. You like to lay on your back and have me do patty cake and other nursery rhymes. You like to be tickled and when I pretend to eat your hands and feet, you just laugh and laugh. You still love to watch the dogs and like to pull Wrigley's hair. You actually pull every one's hair. You love watching and playing with Tyler. You are just a fun little girl!

First Wagon Ride

Molly had her first wagon ride yesterday. When we go to get the mail, Tyler hates to walk-it is so far-it's around the corner. So, anyway, we usually take the double stroller and walk around the circle too. Tyler has been asking to take Molly in the wagon and I wasn't too sure. Yesterday, he convinced me and she sat up well and loved it. Good thing I listened to Mr. Tyler. Look at what a big girl she is.

New Seat

We got the high chair down from the attic a few weeks ago. Molly thought she was big stuff sitting in her high chair. She likes to bang on the tray. Wrigley remember right away that if a child is in the chair, that usually means food on the floor. Since Molly just eats baby food, there's not much for Wrigley. Molly likes to watch him and will just laugh when he licks her hands when she puts them out for him.

Here she is trying some sweet peas. They're not her favorite, but she will tolerate them when I mix them with some fruit. Her favorite foods are apples, applesauce, apples & cherries, apples & blueberries-seeing a theme here. She does like pears and pear-pineapple, and peaches too. She's not big on bananas or any mixture with them-I think it's too thick. She likes sweet potatoes; is OK with squash; and likes the carrots & apples. I have started giving her some puffs, but she mostly just plays with them, or throws them to Wrigley and laughs.
