Fall Pictures

Now that most of you should have received your Christmas card, I can post the fall pictures of the kids from last month.  We did a family picture last year, so I knew Scott wouldn't go for another one 2 years in a row.  Tyler wasn't thrilled about it, but he still did well. Tyler is 9 1/2 years old and Molly is 5 1/2 years old.

Our Elf, Holly

Molly could not wait for Holly to come back.  We talked about it probably happening on Dec. 1, so the night before we read the story of the Elf.  She now can read it on her own and does at least once a day.  Dec. 1, she arrived with a note saying she was so excited to be back and she brought Molly snow from the North Pole in a snow globe.  I actually don't have a picture of Day 1.  Here are some of our other favorite silly things she's done.

She put mustaches on their pictures.
Molly loved this movie!  I don't know how many times she's watched it since.  She quotes it too.

Molly loves the underwear ones.  Holly replaced each person's stocking with a pair of their underwear.

Today she t-ped the tree.
Molly also had a classroom elf, named Sparkle.  She just loves it all!

Santa #2

Today was breakfast with Santa at our community clubhouse.  Tyler only wanted the hot chocolate and donuts, but Molly loved seeing Santa again.
The cutest little Rudolph!

Stay tuned next week for all the silly antics of Holly, our elf.

Santa

Today we went to Bass Pro shop to see Santa.  It's been our yearly tradition for 5 years now.
(It's a picture of the picture they give us, so not the clearest)
Molly had a long list of things she want to tell to Santa.  Her real, live unicorn made the list.

There are more picture of Molly since she clearly will pose for me.
This Saturday is breakfast with Santa at our community clubhouse.  Be ready for more Santa pictures.

Mission San Jose

I went with Tyler on his field trip yesterday to Mission San Jose.  I had never been before and thought it was interesting.  Tyler said it was OK.  Here are some pictures.
In the early 1700's, the government of Spain wanted this area, so they invited Indians and other hunter-gatherer's to come live here with the promise food and training.  The mission is very big and has these quarter where the people lived.
This is an old well
The church was suppose to be the main thing in the mission.  The people that came to live in the mission had to convert to Catholics and learn the catholic ways.

Thanksgiving

We had a nice Thanksgiving last week.  Harry and Mary came over on Wednesday afternoon.  That night, we took Eric out to dinner.  Eric is Mary's cousin, so Scott's 2nd cousin.  He is 18 and just graduated from boot camp at Lackland back in Sept.  The past 7 weeks, he's been in Tech School.  We met him for the first time in Sept.  His Dad, Bob came for the graduation and stayed with us.  That was my first time meeting Bob.  Anyway, him and Eric are super nice and we had a good time with them.  The past 2 weekends, Eric has had base leave, so we'd pick him up and hang out on Saturday and Sundays.  We were able to take him out to dinner Wed, before he flew home on Thursday.  He's all finished with Tech School now.  His family wants us to go to visit them in MT.  Hopefully we can make that happen.

Thursday, Brett, Carman, and Vienne also came over for Thanksgiving.  The food all turned out great and we ate too much.  Here are just a few pictures.

WVU vs UT game

Last Friday we drove over to Austin for the WVU vs Texas game.  Stacey flew in for it since she went to UT and we, of course, went because it was a chance to see West Virginia.  This was Tyler's first big football game.

Friday evening we met up with Stacey, Kristin, and another friend for dinner.  We wanted Molly to see Stacey since she wasn't going to the game.  We had yummy tacos and a good time catching up.
We stayed with Brett and Carman and they watched Molly for us.  She had a great time at the park, going out for pizza, playing with Vienne, playing games she brought, and watching the Alabama game with Uncle Brett.
We arrived early at the game and got to see the team warming up.  Tyler even got a picture with the Mountaineer.  The weather was beautiful and we had a great time.  WVU won even though they tried to give it away a few times.

We had a great time and look forward to more games.

Weekend Visitors

Last weekend Brett, Carman, and Vienne were here for a visit.  We had dinner on Friday night and it was so fun to see Vienne.  She's 14 months now and just adorable.  The kids loved playing with her.

Saturday we went with them to Sea World.  Again,Vienne was so cute getting excited seeing all the animals.

Saturday evening, we had a truck-or-treat at our community center.
Vienne is a people watcher.
Vienne was gumball machine.
Sunday morning we took Vienne on a walk in the wagon and then all played outside-boys threw the football, Molly rode her bike.
This coming weekend, we're going to Austin for the UT vs. WVU football game.  Molly is staying with Brett and Carman during the game.  She's excited to play with Vienne more.
