Growing Up

Last week, Tyler started walking home by himself!  The crossing guard is there and there are plenty of others walking home, so I'm not too worried about him.  This week, his friend, Kyle walked home with him too.  I think they thought they were pretty cool.  When he told his friend, Colby, he said-really!  You get to walk home by yourself!  Now, I tried to get a picture of this, but Tyler doesn't want me to.  The day Kyle came over, they had even discussed their plan to put their backpacks in front of their faces as they got closer.  This week, I didn't try at all until today, hoping that would throw him off.  I hid behind our neighbors truck.  As he got to that house 2 doors down, he started walking backwards just in case!  This crazy kid! This is the best I have so far.

The Masters

A few weeks ago, Scott was able to go with his brother to The Masters.  His brother was given tickets from a vendor his company uses.   It was a pretty sweet deal.  They also put them up in houses they had rented.  The houses had a maid along with a house mom that make sure everyone had anything they needed.  In the evening, the company guys would grill out steak and salmon.  They got in Wednesday and went to the tournament all day on Thursday.  The flew home Friday evening.  Scott said it was amazing and just wonderful to be there.  Jordan Speith won-we had seen him here at the Valero Open.  Tyler had his Valero flag signed by him and a ball.  No phone or cameras are allowed at the tournament, but they did have one complimentary picture.
The guys that gave them the tickets got along really well with Brett and Scott.  They liked that they knew all about golf and follow it.  They "said" they'll invite them back next year, so we'll see.

Molly's Birthday Day

For Molly's birthday, she woke up super early and was ready to go.  She watched a show in our room while the rest of us got up.  Then she was ready to open gifts.

Molly loves to do "hairstyle"

Molly has recently gotten into horses and Unicorns
Her basket came with stickers for her to decorate it and we got her a princess bell for her bike.

Since her birthday was on a Tuesday, it was my day to watch Evan.  I took the two of the bowling and then we met Daddy at Chick-fil-a for lunch.

Back at home, she spent lots of time playing with her new toys and riding her bike.

After we picked up Tyler, we went to get her cupcake cake.  She wanted a horse cake.  I showed her several on Pinterest and she decided she liked the cupcakes made to look like a horse.  So after dinner, we had her cake.
Tyler wasn't impresses with the cupcake cake. He didn't think it looked like a horse.  Molly loved it so that was what mattered.  I think it's ok,maybe more like a pony.  It was supposed to be 27 regular cupcakes, but that was too many for just our family.  I had the lady make it with mini cupcakes.

Right before we had dessert, her friend, Payton stopped by to wish her happy birthday.  They were headed to the school parking lot for Payton to practice riding his new bike.  We decided to go with.  I wasn't sure how Molly would do since she'd only been riding inside, but she was a pro and didn't need any help.
As she went to bed that night, I asked her if she had a good birthday and she said-"it was great and so much fun."

Happy 4th Birthday Molly!!

Molly turns 4 years old today!  Molly, you are our fun, silly, smart, sassy, tenderhearted, animal loving, energetic, and adorable big girl!  We couldn't imagine our family without you!!
Molly got a new bike this morning for her birthday.  She also got a basket to decorate and put on her bike so she can give all her animals rides.  She's become a pro already and has been riding circles around the island in the kitchen.

Frozen on Ice

Last Friday Molly and I went to Frozen on Ice.  It was fabulous!!!  Molly had so much fun and I really enjoyed it too.  Disney did a wonderful job with the sets and effects.  At the beginning, Micky & Minnie come out, then Goofy and Donald Duck.  Then they introduced several of the Princesses and Princes.  Molly was on cloud nine.  It was so fun to watch her.  She'd say-Mommy, it's Ariel!!  And she's clap and wave as she skated by.  She loved all the princesses.  Frozen was great.  It followed the movie and was fun to watch.  Molly stood up most the time swaying to the music and singing to all the songs.  We went with our neighbors.  Here's some pictures.
Molly picked out this sparkly dress just for Frozen on Ice

Easter Activities

We started doing our Resurrection Eggs this week.  Each night the kids open an egg and there is an item in it to go along with the Easter story from Palm Sunday thru Easter.

Friday we "egged" some friends.  The kids hide 12 eggs in their friend's yard, then we ring the door bell and high tail it out of there.  We leave a sign on the door that says-you've been egged.  There are 12 eggs hidden in your yard.  Don't worry if one is empty, it stands for the empty tomb. We egged Tyler's friend, Kyle and Molly's friend, Payton.

Saturday we dyed our Easter eggs.

Saturday evening we had an Easter egg hunt up at our clubhouse.  Molly had fun!
Molly and her friend, Patyon

Saturday evening they had an Easter Egg hunt for the big kids in the dark.  They could use flashlight.  Tyler wouldn't bring a basket, only a Target bag-I guess he's too cool for a basket in front of other kids.  It worked out because he fit more in the bag than he could have his basket.
