Christmas Picture

This is the picture we would have used if we did a Christmas card. This is the first year in our 10 year marriage that we didn't send out a card. I just kept putting it off and hoped to get a better picture. We've always had the dogs in the picture and in this one, Wrigley's eyes are red because he had pink eye. It's not easy to get a picture with Tyler and the dogs. I thought about doing a New Years card, but I really don't want to. There are a few people that don't know we're expecting, but I guess they'll find out when they get the announcement in April. So here is our picture and we wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

Christmas Crafts

Here are a few of the crafts we've made so far. A Rudolph which used Tyler's hand prints and foot print.
Here is Santa. And here is his stocking. We used wrapping paper scraps to cover it.

Sweet Ivy Girl

Ivy loves being outside and when she's inside, she likes to watch out the window for squirrels. Sometimes she'll have her front paws up on the windowsill and other times she'll perch from one of our chairs. This is how she was the other day - a first for her.

Gingerbread House

I thought this year it'd be fun to make a gingerbread house. Tyler was very excited to make one, which is why I should have read the directions first. If you have a kit, like we did, once you get the house, except for the roof finished, it has to dry for an hour. Then you add the roof and let it dry for another 2 hours. Tyler was all excited and we weren't doing anything with the candy for awhile. While I was trying to do the first part, the frosting bag tore and frosting was everywhere. The sides kept falling over too. It was a little frustrating, but we made it through. Tyler did recommend I get a hammer, nails, and duct tape and then it would stay. Here he is when it was finally time to decorate.

Paint, Paper & Scissors

Today Tyler went with his friend, Audrey, to Paint, Paper & Scissors. They got to make lots of projects and had fun.

Tyler's favorite was the dot paint/maker. That's what's on the snowflake and then he made the other paper covered with it. The other is suppose to be Rudolph. He wanted a blue nose instead of red and the antlers were suppose to be with his hand print in paint, but Tyler didn't want to get his hand dirty, so we traced them. We've been working on a few of our own holiday crafts that I'll be posting soon.

Santa

New Favorite Website

I found this website: http://www.howdoesshe.com/ and I love it. I like her 10 things to do with a wooden block and what to do with 2 x 4's. There are other good ideas on the site too. Here is what I have made. These would be cute to make for Grandma or Daddy on Father's Day. Basically you just get the wood, sand it, then mod podge on the paper, sand it again, add some clips and whatever saying you want. It's pretty easy.

Christmas Tree

We put the Christmas tree up Thanksgiving night. I usually do all the Christmas decorations the day after. I had to have Scott get the tree down from the attic, so Tyler was anxious to get it up. I told him once we had dessert and finished Thanksgiving, we could put it up. We didn't decorate it till Friday when we put everything else up too. Tyler had fun decorating the tree. He pulled a chair over and wanted all his ornaments in one spot kinda high, so when people came over, they could see them all easily. He told me I could spread mine out. For a few days afterwards, I was slowing spreading all his out.

Baby Girl Shobe

We had our detailed ultrasound today. Baby Shobe is healthy! She has ten fingers, ten toes, all her organs and looks great. She weighs 14 oz. right now. Everything is going great and as it should be.
