what we've been up to

We've just been doing our normal things the last few weeks.  Tyler loves riding his bike and does it everyday!!  He's always busy playing Lego's and Rescue Bots & Rescue Heroes.  Molly and I play during the day.  Her new favorite thing is walking Ivy by herself.  She also started Gymboree. I'll be posting pics of that later.  Here are a few recent pictures.
Molly loves to help me bake and cook.  Brownies are her favorite to help with.
Here she is walking Ivy.  We walk Ivy every morning after we take Tyler to school.
Look at all that hair!
Working our our Valentine project.

Dress Up

Miss Molly is slowing getting into dress up-kind of.  She doesn't put on dresses and won't wear her tutu, but you can see from the pictures, she loves her jewelery and hats.  She even wanted to wear 2 bows in her hair the other day too.  I love seeing her "girly" side.

Tyler's accomplishment!

Tyler can now ride without training wheels.  He picked it up so fast too.  I worked with him 3 times for about 4-5 minutes each time.  That was as long as Molly would allow since that meant she was not getting my undivided attention.  The third time, he got it and loves it!!

Christmas 2013

We had a nice Christmas with the Shobes.  We really love being in our own house for the kids to wake up here Christmas morning.  The kids were great opening presents.  I thought they'd tear them all open really quick and not really look at each one, but they didn't.  They wanted to play with some when they opened them.  They took their time and said Thank You's. They got a tons of gifts!  Here are pictures of some.

Molly loves Elmo right now

Molly's big gift was her new kitchen

Tyler had outgrown his t-ball bat.  He got a bigger one and is such a good hitter.  He constantly hits balls over the fence.
He got the sleeping bag he wanted for camping

This is the disc swing he got.  He loves it!

He has fun with his pump rockets

This & That

Christmas post will be coming later this week when I get a chance to go through all the pictures.  For now, here is what we have been up to this week.
Miss Molly has finally picked out some tennis shoes.  First, she had those white sandals that she wore through the end of Oct.  I finally got her in her sparkly pink closed toed shoes that she has liked.  She wore her brown shoes for our Christmas picture and to church, but that is all.  Earlier this week, it was 40 degrees out, so I decided she needed some tennis shoes.  I took her to Payless, pulled out a few pairs and some boots.  She first picked these shoes because of the butterflies on the side, but then was sold when she found out they light up when she walks.  I'm happy to say it's been 3 days and she still likes them.
Tyler got a new camping book along with a sleeping bag for Christmas.  He and Daddy learned how to do some cool rope ties.  So far, he is a pro at the Figure Eight tie.  He can't wait to go camping this year.

We had hot chocolate several times this week since it was chilly.

Molly went to her first Home Depot project.  She had fun, but I think we'll wait till she's older to do more.

Fun with the Shobes

Grandmom & Grandpop Shobe, Uncle Brett & Aunt Carman, and Carman's brother were all here for Christmas.  We had a fun time with them.
Reading with Grandpop
Molly adored Uncle Brett.  She constantly wanted him and he was a great Uncle and played with her a ton!

We did lots of playing outside.  Oh, to be like my big brother!

Tyler showed Grandmom how awesome he his at doing Lego's.

Carmen tried to take some family pictures of us.  This is the best we managed to get.  I don't think my kids will ever pose nicely for pictures.
I will try to get our Christmas morning post out soon.
