WAOI Channel 4

I posted last month about us going to Kens 5 news to meet the meteorologist.  My mom also had lined up for Tyler to go to Channel 4 too.  At this station, the weather producer showed us all around.  We met two meteorologist, but only chatted with them for a few minutes.  Here are some pictures.

 

 

 

Cibilo Nature Center

This past Saturday when it was 76 degrees instead of the 34 degrees we're having now, we went to the Cibilo Nature Center.  We had tried twice before only to have to cancel because of yucky weather.  Saturday was beautiful and we had so much fun!  They have 4 different trails, but they're all 1/2 mile or less, so Molly could do them.  The trails either take you through grasslands, the marsh, or to the creek.  The kids had the most fun in the creek.  The water was cold, but once they got used to it, they were fine.  We'll be going back in the future.

 

 

Molly is down there with the map.  She said she wanted to lead the way.  It was cute listening to her try to tell us where to go.

 

 

 

 

This was at the marsh. There is a boardwalk, so we ate there in the sun.  They needed to warm up after the creek.

San Antonio Rodeo

This past Friday, Molly and I went to the rodeo for Dollar Days.  She had a blast!!  The first few hours, she was with her friend, Payton.  The last hour and a half, she was with her friend, Ayla. 

Molly loved seeing all the cows.  She says her favorite part was watching them get baths.

Natural Bridge Caverns 5K Race

My best friend, Dana will turn 40 the year.  She started last year and is doing 40 races by the time she's 40.  I just did #19 with her.  It started in the belly of the caverns, which means the whole way out was pretty much up hill.  It was tough, but that part was only 1/4 mile.  Once out, there were still 2 more big hills, but we all finished and had fun.  It was myself, Dana, Samantha, and Jo. Almost the whole time I was training, something kept hurting-my foot, let, hip, shoulder...it was one thing after the other.  Surprisingly I finished 2nd for my age group of 30-39.  It was fun and I have a feeling I'll be doing more races.

The race was Sunday morning.  Saturday we all met up at the JW Marriott Resort and Spa for an overnight.  It was so fun!  We went in the lazy river a little-it was chilly, then we relaxed in the hot tub.  We went out to dinner to have our carbs and then came back and made s'mores.  We were upgraded to an executive suite free of charge, so the rooms overlooked the pools and golf course and the bed was so comfortable!  I'd go back there anyday!

 

Tyler's New Look

This happened two weeks ago:

Now this is Tyler's new look!  I love it and think they look great.  He loves them too.  He's been telling me how clear and bright everything looks and what things he couldn't see or were blurry, he can see now.

My baby is growing up too fast!
