Molly Updates

Molly has been a busy girl this last month.  We are finished nursing and she is doing great with milk from a sippy cup.  She loves all fruit.  Any fruit I cut up and give her, she eats.  Vegetables are another story.  Whether it's carrots, peas, or green beans, she picks them off her tray one by one and feeds them to the dogs while laughing.  Now grass or stick, she'll put in her mouth, but not a carrot. She also likes crackers, cereal, bread, yogurt, ice cream, and veggie puffs are one of her favorite; she won't try pasta or anything else I try to give her.  She is finally getting a 3rd tooth.  Maybe that will help some eating more things.

She loves crusin' all over.  As long as there is a wall or piece of furniture to hold on to, she is on the go.  She goes from room to room.  She does not like to sit still for very long anymore.  She also started walking with her walking toy.  Sorry the picture is blurry, she wouldn't stand still.
Molly loves to play in the sand and dig for shells. I cover them up just a little and she digs each out, always shakes off the sand from it, and then put them in her little cup. It so cute to watch her.

We got her this little pool and she loves it.  $4 from Target-you can't beat that. She also likes to play in the sand and water table.  She mostly likes to take everything out and throw it on the ground.

Molly also loves to play in her bubbles.

Field Day

I volunteered at Tyler's school on Monday for their Field Day.  They had 10 games set up for the kids-dinosaur dig, fishing, trike race, duck-duck goose, obstacle course, scooter race, parachute, balloon between your leg race, balance a bean bag on your head race, and water in cup race.  Tyler had fun.  Here are a few pictures I got of him when I wasn't manning my station.

Mother"s Day

We had a pretty relaxed Mother's Day today.  On Thursday, I had flowers and chocolate delivered to me.  I always tell Scott to get flowers at HEB instead of sending them because it's cheaper, but, let me tell you, it was nice to have roses delivered.

This afternoon, I was able to go get a pedicure and we had Papa Murphy's pizza for dinner, so no cooking for me.  Tyler made me a cute MOM sign from school.  This is the best picture I could get with these two cuties.  I'm so lucky to be their mom.

Master Bedroom Redo

Our master bedroom is finally coming together after being in this house 5 years; really after being married 12 years.  Here is what it looked like not too long ago.  Pretty boring, right.
First, we made a head board.  The lighting make it kinda blend in with the walls, but in person, it looks great.  When my mom was here for Molly's birthday, she helped me redo the two dressers.  It was so easy!  We used Zinsser primer, then painted them a very light dusty blue, distressed them, and finished with polyurethane. And we replaced the hardware.   I love how they turned out.
Then I found these two end tables on Craigslist for $30 each and I redid them myself.  Now after 12 years, I finally have a bedside table.

 Here is our bedroom now.

I love walking into our room now.  I'd still like something for over the bed, but in time, we'll add that.

Teacher Appreciation Gifts

Tyler's school had teacher appreciation week last week.  Here are the gifts we made his teacher and the aide.  I found them all on Pinterest.  :)

His teacher uses a clip board everyday-it's actually one of the kids jobs for the day, to bring it when they go anywhere.  We made Mrs. Donna a nice and pretty one.  Tyler picked out the paper.

We made her a card too.  Tyler decorated the outside.
This was on the inside when you open the card.  I had asked in the school office and they told me Mrs. Donna liked Sonic & Starbucks.
Sorry this is blurry, but this is the artwork Tyler made Mrs. Donna all by himself.
This is the gift we made for Mrs. Maria, his aide.  There are Crystal Light Lemonade packets in the cup and the little banner sign says, Thank you for being a great "ade" in our class.
