Fun in the Sun

Our pool is closed on Wednesday and, of course, Tyler wanted to go. So, I got out the hose to fill up his water table. He wanted to play with the hose and I really didn't want him and the dogs soaked, but I gave in and let him have it. He had so much fun!! He was laughing nonstop. It was the best sound.

New Patio

We had our patio expanded and put flagstone down. We are so happy with the new patio. It looks wonderful!! Tyler liked watching the men work and waving to them out the window. He also kinda liked the cement truck. He thought it was cool when it came, but then churning the cement, it was a little loud and scared him. Here are some before and after pictures.

Brithdays All Around

Today, I like to wish my Dad a happy birthday! He was a fun dad when my siblings and I were growing up and he still has fun with us now and his grandkids. Scott and I have such a good time with him when he and my mom come to visit. He's also a very godly man and a wonderful Christian example to all who meet him. Here he is with Tyler. My Dad is thrilled to share with birthday with Wrigley! Wrigley is our Field Spaniel and is 5 years old today. He is a fun, happy, go lucky dog, who still thinks he is a puppy. Here he is in his birthday hat doing one of his favorite things-digging along our fence.

Tent time

This morning, Tyler and I made a tent for him to play in. I remember making tents out of sheets with my sisters when we were little. He's in his diaper because his shirt got dirty from breakfast, heaven forbid, and his shorts were just too hot. He's been doing that lately-he'll be playing and then tell me," hot, hot" and we have to put on different shorts, ones he picks out. He's a silly boy!

Weekend

Our friends from Sugar Land came to visit this weekend-John, Kathleen, and Mark, who is about 6 weeks older than Tyler. Friday, the guys golfed and the boys just played here at our house. They did pretty well sharing and taking turns. Saturday morning, the guys golfed again and Kathleen and I took the boys to New Braunfels. We went to Landa Park. We all rode the train twice and the boys ran around and played. It's a cool park, they had lots of play areas, a pool and water area, paddle boats-unfortunately, they didn't' have seat belts and we didn't trust the boys to sit real well or that would have been fun to do. They had a mini-put course too. Lots of people were there walking their dogs, so Tyler petted lots of dogs that day.
Saturday afternoon, it was the guys turn to watch the boys while Kathleen and I did a little shopping. In the evening we took the boys for a walk in the wagon and then just hung out that night. It was a nice visit!

Pool Time

The pool opened in May, so we went this weekend on Friday and today. Tyler loves it. Last year he was just learning to walk, so I had to carry him a lot and hold him while we went down the slide. Now he runs all over and even if he falls, he just gets right back up. He can do the slide by himself too. I see us going to the pool lots this summer.
I swear even though we've only been twice so far, his hair is already getting more blonde.

Something Cute

Tyler always tells us when he needs a kleenex. So now, if we sneeze, he always gets us a kleenex. Yesterday, Wrigley sneezed, so he got him a kleenex and tried to wipe his nose. It was cute.
