Kindergarten

I'm sure this is a few too many pictures for the first day of school, but here they are.  Tyler wasn't nervous that morning. He got ready, and we set out to meet up with Kyle.  They have matching backpacks.

They are such big boys now!
Walking into school

Daddy went in a little late to work, so he could go with on the first day.

Tyler and his friend, Audrey are in the same class.
I think he was starting to get a little nervous here.

Here he is, heading off to class.

My little cutie

How cute is Miss Molly!  I'm finally getting better at doing pig tails.  Molly is 16 months in this picture.

The Beach

We went with my mother-in-law to Galveston this past weekend.  Here are some pictures from the beach.  The kids had such a good time.  We also went to Moody Gardens-the Aquarium and the Rainforest, but I'll post about those later.

Tyler's Fireman 5th Birthday Party

Tyler's 5th birthday party was a fireman party.  His friends met us at a fire station for a tour.  When they arrived, we had fire hats them.  The tour was interesting and I think everyone had a good time.

This is Tyler and his best friend, Kyle

After the fire station, we went to the park across the street for lunch.  We had a chicken nuggets platter from Chick-fil-a, chips, fruit, and drinks.  The kids had fun playing too.

Next, was the pinata.  Tyler was so excited about this.

Under the cover, it was pretty breezy, so the candle would not stay lit.  Tyler pretended to blow it out.
At home, he couldn't wait to open his presents.   He got lots of Lego's, even Power Ranger Lego's, and some books.

Thanks to everyone for coming to Tyler's party.  He had a blast!

My two readers

I started reading to Tyler and Molly when they were still baby babies.  I remember one time Scott asking me why I was reading to Tyler because he was probably only 3 months old.  I wanted them to love reading and they do.  This is a picture of  Tyler reading when he was about Molly's age-15 or 16 months.  And then there are some of Molly.  It's funny how they both like to sit in the glider and look at books.

This is how Molly signs book to me.  She claps her hands together like this.  Sometimes she'll open them for book.

Nashville: Part 2

While in Nashville, Scott and I were able to get away 1/2 the day and the whole night!! It was fabulous!  We went zip lining and had a blast.  That evening we went out to dinner and it was so nice to be able to have a conversation without being interrupted by kids.
Friday morning we went to the Country Music Hall of Fame.  Then we had lunch at Bro's Cajun Cuisine.  I had to this place on Drive Ins, Diners & Dives.  The cajun food was good and we ate way too much.
That afternoon, we drove around Nashville some and found another fun park for the kids to play at.

Friday night, Scott and I got to go out again (thank you Mom and Dad) and we went to the Grand Ole Opry show.  It was very cool!  There were several performers there, but the most popular were Craig Morgan, Jimmy Wayne, Little Jimmy Dickens, and Crystal Gayle.
Saturday we flew home, while my parents drove home.  It was such a fun vacation and we were able to see and do so many things without it feeling rushed.
