While Scott was at the game, we stayed home with all the kids and they got to play in the snow. They had fun being pulled on the sled. Tyler loved falling in the snow, climbing the big snow piles made from the snow plows and his favorite-making and throwing snowballs at us.The Shobe Family

Christmas in IL
We had a good trip to IL over Christmas. The day after we got in, we took all the kids to see Santa. When we met my sisters at the mall, Tyler and his cousins all hugged. It was so cute.
This is Tyler and Kaleb. Kaleb is 1 month younger than Tyler. They had lots of fun together. The next picture is Tyler with his cousin, Zac. I haven't seen Zac since last year and he's got lots of energy and is quite loud.
On Christmas Eve, it was snowing, so my Dad asked Tyler if he wanted to take a walk in the snow. He said yes. We got him all bundled up. They left out the back door and walked down the sidewalk to the street. My parents live on a corner and the sidewalks were too slick to walk on. So, they come up to turn onto our street and Tyler walks to the house. My dad, said, come on, let's walk around the block, but Tyler was finished. He said it was too cold. The walk ended up being from the back door around to the front door.
That night we celebrated Christmas with my Dad's side of the family. It was nice to see all my grandma, aunts, uncles, cousins and catch up with everyone. One thing Tyler wanted for Christmas was Cars slippers. Every time he saw Santa or someone asked what he wanted Santa to bring, he'd say Cars slippers. My aunt got them for him and he loves them. He talked me into letting him wear them to the store the other day. (He had to ride in the cart though).
Christmas day was spent with my family. The kids didn't wake us all up till 7:00 since we got home late the night before. Here is a family pic of us outside in the snow.
This is the race track Tyler got. Him and Kaleb had fun playing with it.
Sunday, Scott went to the Bears game with my sisters, Kim, Valerie, and her husband, Jason. Jason is a huge Bears fan. They had to get there early and tailgated for 3 hours and then sat at the game for another 3 hours. They had a good time. Scott said it was cold-he had on five layers and my dad had let him use his coveralls. I think it was around 23-25 degrees the whole time. The Bears won, so I guess it was worth it to go.

Monday morning we visited with my grandma. She plays the harp and played lots of songs for us. Tyler really enjoyed it. We flew home that evening. Tyler was great on the airplane for us. He was excited to see that Santa had filled his stocking here too. He had already opened his presents from us and Scott's family before we left for IL. It was a good trip, but it's always nice to be back to our more quiet home.
