The Flying L

Last Monday we headed to the Flying L with some friends.  We went when my parents were here and the kids just love it.  The kids had a good time.

This was Molly's first time going down this slide.  When we came with my parents, she said it was too big.  She finally did it this time and loved it!
We did have one little accident though.  Once the big kids came over to the slide in the previous picture, they started climbing up the slide.  I told them not to, but I wasn't adamant about it because I feel like I'm always telling them no. Sure enough Molly and Ainsely had just gone down and were talking at the bottom when one of the boys was climbing up.  He slipped and came back down on top of them.  Ainsley ended up with a fat lip, but Molly got knocked over and cut open her chin on the ground.  We had to leave and go to Urgent Care.  Luckily, Scott was home and met us there.  They numbed it with just some gel and then were able to glue it.
The steri stips they put over it are suppose to fall out on their own.  Until then, she can't get it fully immersed in water, which means no pool.  On Saturday, she must have bumped it because it started bleeding again.  I called them and they said as long as it's not infected not to bring her in and it'll heal itself.  Now we have to wait for that scab to come off.  That'll make it an even longer process. We're hoping to have it all off by the end of the week.  From friends I've talked to, it sounds like stitches would have been the better way to go.  Oh well, Molly has never once complained about. She's a trooper.
