Camping Trip

Two weeks ago we went camping in Garner Park, the same place we went last November.  We went with Rachel and her family again.  This time Debbie and her son, Jackson came too.  We had great weather and the kids were able to play in the water this time, which was nice.  Here are all the pictures.

Me and Rachel
Rachel, myself, and Debbie.  Two of my favorite ladies!
After swimming for awhile, we got snow cones, fished, and rented paddle boats and kayaks.
Molly and Scott caught 3 fish.  They were the only ones that did.

Here is crazy boy up front.  The kids had to keep life jackets on.  Tyler jumped off to swim around and when he did, the life jacket came off over his head.  About 20 seconds later, he realized, his glasses got thrown off.  The water is so clear, but we could not find them.  We searched for over an hour.
After more playing in the water, we went back to our campsite to cook dinner.  The kids made hot dogs and the adults had hamburgers.  I also brought some mac & cheese to make on the grill-it was ok.
After dinner, it was time for s'mores.  I had bought peeps after Easter for the kids to make colorful s'mores.
After dinner and s'mores,  went went back down to the river to skip rocks and let the kids run around.  On the way back, I saw this little flash of light.  It was a lightning bug.  I have never seen them in TX.  The kids love catching them in IL.  As it got darker, they were everywhere.  The kids had a blast running after them and catching them.

Saturday morning we went for a short hike after breakfast and then headed home.  We did a lot on Friday and didn't feel the need to tire ourselves out even more on Saturday.

Molly and Payton.  She really is smiling even though she looks to be in pain.
This is the best family picture we got.  It's Scott giving Molly bunny ears, not me.

Molly loved picking all the different flowers we passed.

Another camping trip over.  I know Debbie's husband was bummed he had to miss, so hopefully we do another one sometime this summer.  It'll be without Rachel and her family since they're moving in 3 weeks.  :(
