Christmas

I realize I am super late in posting about Christmas, but I figure better late than never.  We were up in IL for Christmas and we had a great time.  The kids had lots of cousin time.  When we arrived Wednesday, Zac & Bailey spent the night.  Then Thursday afternoon, we headed to Kim's and the kids stayed there for the night.  Kim took them into Val's on Friday and they spent the night there.  Scott and I met back up with them on Saturday for Christmas Eve at my Grandma's.  Bailey and Kyla spent the night Monday night after ice skating, and then Tyler spent the night at Kim's again on Tuesday night.  They were thrilled with all the cousin time.

We had a great time on Christmas Eve at my Grandma's.  It's always good to see my Aunts, Uncles, and cousins-some I hadn't seen in so long.  That evening, Tom and Brittany came over and we all watched Elf.  It's Molly's new favorite movie and my parents had never seen it before.
Christmas morning, the kids opened some gifts I had sent up there.  Then we went to church with my Dad. Tyler and Molly helped pass our bulletins.  That afternoon, the rest of the family came over for gifts and dinner.

Yes, Tyler got a hatchet.  We didn't technically buy it for him.  We got him an Apocabox that is from Creek Stewart-the survivalist he likes.  We knew there was a chance that a tool or knife would be in it. I just wasn't expecting a hatchet.  Tyler has been trying to get us to buy him one for a couple years, so he was thrilled.

Molly really want to go ice skating while we were there, so we did that on Monday.  All the cousins came too and we had a lot of fun.  The kids all fell, but they'd get up and keep trying.

Monday afternoon, Scott and I went out to lunch with my friend, Elisa and her husband.  We had a nice time catch up with them them.  Scott and I went out that night for a quick bite too.
The weather wasn't bad at all.  It was in the 20's and 30's.  The snow even started to melt.  Before that happened, Molly had to make a snowman.

It was great to celebrate Christmas with my family this year.  Everything went well and the week just flew by.
