Molly and the Dogs

It's no secret that Molly loves doggies!  She has a million of them and takes turns playing with all of them.  Black puppy is always with her though.  Everyone we visited, she'd ask-have puppy?  She thinks everyone should have a puppy. These are pictures of Molly with all the dogs we saw.

First up is Jack.  The weekend before we left for IL, Scott's sister, Stacey was here with her dog, Jack.  Molly just loved him.

Molly with my brother's dog, Addy.
The kids and I went into Chicago one day to visit my friend, Tiffany.  She has 3 dogs.  Molly was in heaven.

This is Enzo, he's an Irish Wolfhound.  He was taller than Molly, but she wasn't scared at all.

This is Casper, a Westie like our Ivy

This is McKenzie, also a Westie.   She's 14 1/2.  She is the reason we got a Westie. Scott and I met her when we were engaged.  When we got a dog, we didn't want a big one, but we liked that Westies were small dogs with big personalities.
If you ever have a dog that needs some lovin', Molly is the girl to call.

So Much Snow!

We arrived in IL on Monday evening and first thing Tuesday morning, Tyler was ready to play in the snow.  It was 8:00am and -9, but he didn't care.  He was in the snow as often as he could be in it.
This was Tuesday morning, -9 degrees

My two sweeties!  Molly went out once for about 2 minutes.  I didn't even have time to take a picture.  Then she went out this day for about 15 minutes.  She didn't like getting all bundled up.

That is Tyler and Kaleb.  I wasn't quick enough to get a front view picture

Tyler helped shovel everytime it snowed

He thought he was pretty cool working the snow blower

Christmas in IL

It had been two years since we were in IL with my family for Christmas and it was great to celebrate with them again! Here are some pictures from Christmas.

Molly's favorite gift was her Pluto dog.  She took him everywhere!

The boys all got these army belts with a flashlight and canteen.  They thought they were pretty cool.

The scottie dog girls!
We went to my parent's church's Christmas Eve service. Molly loved when we lit the candles.

Christmas Concert

This past Thursday, we took Tyler to the Michael W. Smith Christmas concert.  Tyler loves Christmas music-he listens to it throughout the year when he goes to bed.  He really likes the Michael W. Smith one that I have.  He's been asking to do something with me and Scott without Molly, so when I heard about this concert, I knew it'd be perfect.  This was his first concert and he loved it.  He said it was awesome!!  He was so cute.  During the concert, when Michael W. Smith would sing a certain song, Tyler would tell me-this is one of my favorites, or this is the first song on the cd.  He had a good time and it was fun to do something special with just Tyler.

Weekend Away

While my mom was here, she watched the kids for us, so we had two nights away!  The kids had a blast.  Grandma took them our for donuts, to McDonalds for lunch, shopping, and made cookies and caramel apples with them.  They set up the tent and camped out both nights.  They also had movie night and played outside with the hose.

Scott and I left on Friday and went to Chuy's for lunch, did a little shopping and Dicks Sporting Goods, then went to the hotel for a nice nap!  After our nap, we went to see Captain Phillips.  It was very good.  I don't know the last time we went to a movie together.

Saturday, we went to Enchanted Rock.  It was a 45 min. wait on the road just to get it.  But it was worth it.  We climbed to the top and it was steep!  It was perfect weather out that morning and we had a fun time.

We went to Cranky Franky's BBQ on the way back to San Antonio and it was yummy!  Back in San Antonio, we went mini-putting and then back to the hotel for a nap.  We went out to dinner that night at Bourbon Street Seafood Kitchen.  It was delicious!

Sunday morning, we slept in, had a nice breakfast, and then went back home to the kiddos.  It was a nice weekend relaxing, but also doing some fun things.

Halloween

Halloween was last Thursday, so I guess I better get some pictures up.  First off, my mom was here, so that made everything more fun.  On Wednesday afternoon, we carved our pumpkin.
This is typical Tyler every year.  He will not touch the goo inside and usually sits there with his nose plugged.

Molly at least touched it even though she thought it was gross

Tyler did draw on the face to carve.  We made a happy jack-o-lantern
Last year we started going to our friends, The Clearly's for Halloween dinner before trick-or-treating.  We all bring yummy halloween food and it was good this year.  After, the kids all change and go around the neighborhood together.  Tyler was the Red Power Ranger and Molly was a 50's girl.
This is the whole group.  Molly was being a stinker and would not turn to look at the camera.  She does not like pictures.  The other moms tired to get her to look, but she'd just turn sideways.
