Illinois Trip

Tyler and I were in IL last weekend and had a great trip. We arrived Wednesday evening and that night just had dinner and caught up with my family. Thursday, we went out to lunch for my brother, Tom's, birthday. He's now 22. Then we went over to my sister, Valerie's house. Tyler loved playing with Jake, the dog, and jumping on the trampoline.
Friday we went back over to Val's house to paint the baby's nursery. She's due June 9 and looks great. She's all baby. She is not finding out what they are having, but I think it's going to be boy. Friday night Tyler and I went to my friend, Elisa's house for dinner. She has 3 boys, so Tyler had fun playing there too. I didn't get any pictures of that.

Saturday we relaxed during the day. My parents have a big front porch, but Kaleb, my nephew likes to run to the street, so they have a gate up. The boys didn't like being stuck on the porch. Grandpa took the boys and Kyla, my niece, for walks in the wagon. (the walk was before their naps, which can see in the picture). They also made visors with grandma.
Saturday night we had my cousin, Kari's wedding reception. We had a good time there. The kids loved dancing. Once they got tired, we put on their pj's and then Grandma and Grandpa took them home. I stayed with my two sisters and niece to dance the night away. OK, so we only made it till 10:30 when Kyla was too tired to stay any longer, but it was so much fun. I love dancing!
Sunday morning we went to my grandma's, Tyler's great grandma's for a visit. Then in the afternoon Val's friends gave her a baby shower. Grandpa watched both boys while us girls were gone. They took naps, grandpa too, but both boys also had poopy diapers for grandpa. Sunday night we celebrated my brother's birthday as a family. Tyler liked giving Tom fives and fists bumps.
Tyler loves playing with grandpa. He loves for him to bounce him on his lap and then let him fall.
This was one of Tyler's favorite places to look out. He liked watching the dogs outside. Here's just a few more cute pictures of the boys. Tyler is 21 months and Kaleb is 20 months. They got along pretty well. They each did their share of hitting and taking toys away, but I think they had fun together.
It was a good, but busy trip. Tyler was great on the plane there and back.

I would like to wish my wonderful husband a happy anniversary. Today we have been married 9 years. I can't believe it's already 9 years. It doesn't seem like it's been that long. Here are a few things I love about Scott.
He's a great husband and dad
He's a great friend, always willing to listen to me
He accepts me as I am
He's a very hard worker, always doing above and beyond
He puts the needs of his family first
He's funny and fun to be with
He's always right
He loves his son sooo much and his doggies too
He has a great smile
He has a good sense of humor, a little dry, some people don't get it
We have fun together
He's just sweet and I love him!!

help

Can someone tell how to change the color on the names in "my blog list". Some are in black and some are a pink that's hard to read. I don't have that color selected at all. I've already gone under the fonts and color link and selected all black. Thanks

Easter

For Easter this year, on Saturday night, we went to an Easter egg hunt at our friend's house. Tyler used his Cubs basket that Grandma Chambers made him. He had a good time finding the eggs, eating the candy, and playing.
On Easter Sunday, Tyler got a basket full of fun things from the Easter Bunny. He got a new tool set, which he loves, some play doh, a frog cup and plate, and Leap Frog fridge letter magnets. They actually say the letter and the sound. My friend has them and Tyler always plays with them at her house. So it's a fun gift and educational too.

Weekend in Houston

This past weekend, we went to Houston. Unfortunately I didn't take many pictures, so you mostly get to read about it. Friday we spent the day with Scott's parents. We went to lunch and then Scott helped in the yard. Tyler and I played and helped pick up leaves and branches. Saturday Scott played golf with his good friend, John while Tyler and I visited my good friends Dana and Debby. Later that afternoon, John and his wife, Kathleen had a final four party, so we went to that and Tyler played with their little boy, Mark. We were able to see a few of our other friends there too. Sunday we visited our old neighbors and had a good time catching up. Tyler played with their little boy, Luke. That's the weekend in a nutshell.

Happy Birthday

Today is Ivy girl's birthday. She's 8 years old. She's our sweet, independent little girl. She loved being the only dog for three years. She wasn't sure what to think of Wrigley. As soon as she got used to him, along came Tyler. She pretty much stays away from him unless he has something good to eat. Ivy loves to play fetch with the tennis ball and chase light when it makes reflections in the afternoon. We love her!
