Last week we worked on the letter P. We made a P Peacock, P Piano, worked on Patters and finding the letter P. We also made Popsicles. I've also printed out some preschool pages from the Internet that Tyler really likes. They've been pages like-what picture doesn't belong, matching shapes, finding all the squares, diamonds, etc. in the picture, pages to do with sizes.

New Crafts
Yesterday we decided to make a craft-a fish bowl.

For Tyler's birthday, his Aunt Stacey gave him the book "If you give a Moose a Muffin." It's become one of his favorites. We made a moose head today.

Both projects were from http://www.notimeforflashcards.com/

Labor Day Pics
I know Labor Day was a few weeks ago, but I just got these pictures from my sister-in-law. Since Stacey was in town, we went to Houston to see her and Scott's parents. Tyler doesn't get to see Aunt Stacey that often. He had a fun time with her and his grandparents. He showed off on his scooter. We stayed with my best friend, Dana while we were there and that was great. It was fun catching up with her and I even got to go to a movie with her. It was fun girl time.

Why?
That is the question Tyler now asks constantly. He just started about 4 days ago. It's driving me crazy. Everything you say, he asks why to. A lot of times I ask him why he thinks so and most of the time he knows why. Apparently I did this when I was around his age. On one family vacation, we were driving to CO from IL. When I fell asleep, my parents decided to drive straight though instead of stopping for the night just so they could drive without me asking so many questions.

Silly Boy
The picture should about say it all. It's 100 degrees here in TX and Tyler's flannel Curious George pj pants that my mom made him for Christmas are now his favorite. Never mind that they're too short for him too. He wants to wear them all day long. If we run errands, I make him put on shorts. When we get home, he wants the George pants again. He's now into socks. Last winter, I couldn't get him to wear socks for anything. When we were in IL in December, the minute we'd get in the car his shoes and socks came off. It didn't matter is was 5 below and there was tons of snow, he hated socks. Now, he has to constantly wear socks telling me that his feet are cold. He wears them with his crocs and sandals. He is one silly boy!

School
This week I started working again. Just two days a week-nothing too hard. Tyler started a new school. He wasn't thrilled to be left there on Tuesday. We'll see how he does tomorrow. His friend, Emily goes there too. When we looked at the school, he was excited to go to school with Emily. As the days got closer for him to go, he wasn't too sure. Here is a picture with Daddy before we left. The other is a picture when I picked him up. I didn't have any luck with a picture when I dropped him off.

Learning Time
This week Tyler and I started on his Learning Time. I totally copied the idea from my friend, Kate's friend's blog. Her blog is http://www.thedomesticnotebook.blogspot.com/. I just want to give her credit seeing how it was her idea.
Anyway, we start with the calendar, which Tyler loves. He actually asks for it a few times throughout the day. I'm surprise that after one week, he knows the months of the year song. I know there is a song for the days of the week, but I can't remember the tune. I'll have to ask my teacher friends.
Next, for each week, I pick a letter. We do different activities with that letter and there is a bible verse that starts with that letter. This week was the letter T which he already knows well. We decorated a turtle with triangles, glues twigs on a letter T, read the story of Moses and had him make the Ten Commandments. We were suppose to do a cooking activity, but never got around to it. Our verse was Prov. 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
