The Valero Texas Open

Last week on Wednesday, we took Tyler out of school and went to the Valero Texas Open.  We went for the Pro-Am and really wanted to see Phil Michelson.  He is our favorite!  Tuesday night when the tee times were posted, Phil was not on there!  We couldn't believe it. He was playing in the tournament, just not the Pro-Am. The pros get one exemption from a Pro-Am per year and this was the one Phil chose.  We went out anyways-it was a gorgeous day and we had a good time.  We bought a flag and Tyler got lots of autographs.  Scott could tell you who all these golfers are, but I don't remember.

We decided to go back on Saturday to try to get Phil's autograph.  We took Molly too, so it was her first pro golf tournament.  We were able to get Phil's autograph and many more, so it was worth going back.
This is the only picture I got of her-she's trying to stay cool!

This guy is actually signing Tyler's flag right there.  Tyler is in the blue shirt.

Visit to Houston

Two weekends ago we went to Houston.  It was great to see Scott's parents and meet their new dog, Jet.  Saturday morning we went to Top Golf so Mary could see the kids hit.  It was a really fun place.  Saturday evening we went to a horse show since Molly has been getting into horses.  It was fun!  The kids also played in the hot tub a lot, went to the pond, and did fun things with Grandma.  Molly and her read and played horses.  Tyler and her read and also did a lot more in their coin collecting books.  Scott groomed Jet up also.  It was a busy weekend.

Molly had her picture taken with the Catalina Cowgirls before the show

The best picture I could get from him

It had rained and was a mess out, so Grandma brought them rainboots

The rest of Illinois

We had a great visit in IL.  Besides the snow, the kids had a blast with their grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  All the cousins stayed at my parents.  The older ones played MineCraft.  Molly and Bailey played lots of dress up.  Grandma had fun games for them, baking to do, and crafts.  We went to a fun indoor play place, a hockey game and a cooking class with Aunt Val at Machine Shed.  Here are a lot of pictures!

This was our first time meeting Oreo.  He was such a sweetie!

We celebrated Kim's birthday on Sunday
We visited my Grandma on Monday morning and took her to dinner on Monday night.

Molly and I drove into Elgin Tuesday morning to see her good friend, Brylee.

Snow in Illinois

We arrived in IL last Wednesday night and to the kids excitement, there was still snow here.  We've had a lot of fun with family and cousins so far.  We're here till this Wednesday afternoon.  Both kids have loved the snow. Tyler always does, but the last time Molly was in the snow, she was 18 months and not a fan.  This time she's had a blast. Here are some pictures.

We went to the big hill by the school on Saturday with all the cousin. You'll see that besides using the sled, Tyler also went rolling down the hill and down on his stomach!

I'll be posting more pictures of our other fun activities here in IL later on.
