While Scott and I were in San Diego, my parents watched Tyler. They had a lot of fun. They bought him the scooter I posted about a few days ago. Tyler loved playing Hi Ho Cherri-O with my dad and always beat him. They went to the pool a few times. They went to the Riverwalk and rode the boat. My dad likes to go to Chick-fil-A, and since it's one of Tyler's favorites, they went for lunch and breakfast. Tyler and Grandma did some crafts too.
When my parents came, my mom had not been feeling too great, but she thought she could make it the whole week. That did not happen. On Thursday morning, so got very sick and my dad had to take her to the ER. She was admitted and put in ICU. We are so blessed to have some great friends/neighbors that watched Tyler for us while my parents were busy with hospital things. This was Tyler's first sleep over and he handled it great! On Friday my mom had a gall stone taken out and on Monday she had her gall bladder removed. Scott and I got home Friday night. My mom is feeling much better and actually goes home tomorrow. My mom has been here an extra 10 days, so she really got to relax and recover here. The past few days as she has felt better, her and Tyler have had fun. They've read, played games, and made me one of my favorite desserts-Mississippi Mud Cake.

Alot sure has happened in the past 2 weeks! I'm glad she is recovering well. It sounds like this was a sweet time for her to recover here in SA. That mud cake looks delicious, by the way :)
