Girl Time

A few Fridays ago, my friend, Debbie and I got to get away for a night.  We went to Houston for The Word is Alive women's conference with Lysa TerKeurt and singer/songwriter Ellie Holcomb.  It was a wonderful conference and I had never heard Ellie before and she was great. My favorite quote was "God loves me too much to answer my prayer at any other time than the right time...and in any other way than the right way."

 

We had such a good time driving over and eating out by ourselves with no kids, relaxing in the hotel, chatting with no interruptions.  It took me a long time to find a best friend here in San Antonio.  I met Debbie through Rachel and the 3 of us are still close.  Rachel had to move, but I'm so glad I have Debbie here to do life with.  She's such a blessing.
