A Christmas Miracle

Last Wednesday and Thursday it rained almost all day.  It was cold and yucky.  Thursday around 5:00, Tyler's friend's mom in Borne posted a picture that they were getting snow.  Tyler was so jealous.  Then Molly's teacher posted a picture of her house getting lots of snow.  She's in Helotes about 25-35 min away.  The kids were hoping so bad we'd get snow.  Sure enough, about 6:25ish, it started snowing here.  Snow in San Antonio, TX!!  Amazing!  They were big flakes too.  The kids were beyond excited.  They were screaming and laughing and running all around.  They got the neighbors to come out and they had so much fun.  It is something they won't forget.
The snow is just starting
One excited boy!
Evan's kids ran out in their pj's.
Both sets of neighbors.  Later there were lots more too.  They were wild, crazy kids.
The snow is starting to stick

Trooper wanted to join in on all the excitement.  He loved running around in it.

Tyler and Kyle.  Tyler put on pants after this picture!

Molly and Adelyn making snowballs.

Our house before we went in.
It was crazy and fun.  The next morning, there a some snow left and it was 32 degrees out.  I was surprised the kids had school.  It was sunny and got up till 65 or so, so the snow melted.  It was definitely a Christmas miracle.  Molly asked me if she was dreaming at one point.

I have to add these two picture.  Before the snow, since it was cold out, Tyler wanted a fire pit. Our fire pit was full of water from the rain.  So he improvised.
Yes, he's in shorts and a t-shirt, but it was cold.  Probably 38 at this time.  He kept coming inside telling me he was freezing.  I told him to put on warm ups, but he wouldn't listen.
When one wasn't enough, he added more.  My survivalist!
