Children's Museum

After I had Molly, my neighbors took Tyler with them to the McKenna Children's Museum in New Braunfels. Tyler has talked about it ever since-he loved it. Last week, for Valentines Day, I took Tyler and Molly there. Two of our friends from church also come. We had a great time. They have an outside area with water things-Tyler loved making pipes to use in the water.
They also had an outside area music section. Molly had fun with the xylophone. Here are Tyler and Josiah.

Now to the inside things. Here is Miss Molly the astronaut!

It didn't take long for Tyler to find the tools and get busy fixing things.

They had a house you could put the shingles on, which Tyler did and here he is inside the house working on the plumbing.

Another favorite of Tyler's was to drive the ambulance and make the siren go.

Once his ambulance arrived at the hospital, he became Dr. Tyler.

Molly liked this area too, make these things turn.

They also had a science area whey Tyler looked through a microscope; they had an area with little babies to take care of; they had an art room to paint and color; they had a store with little carts for kids to use; they had a big cave Tyler loved going in; they had tents set up and a little pretend fire to sit around like camping, and more that I'm forgetting. It was a very cool museum! After fun there, we headed to Landa Park to have lunch and play-they have several playscapes. It was a fun day!!

10 Months

Molly, I can't believe you are now 10 months old. Only 2 more months and you are 1 year. The time has gone by so fast. Not much has changed this past month. You love this swing that Daddy and brother put up for you. You got sick for the first time and it was a doosy! You had RSV, so we had miserable week. I felt so bad for you. Then you started getting better and your fever came back for another 3 days. It was rough. You are finally better now and we're just trying to get back to sleeping all night. Since you were sick, you now hardly want to eat any baby food. Hopefully you'll start liking food again soon. You like to stand up against the couch or ottoman now. That is really about it. Just short and sweet this month. We love you!!

Valentines!

Happy Valentines Day! This is the Valentine Tyler and Molly made for Scott. Actually, I did, but Tyler helped tell me what he loves about Daddy and I knew what Molly loved about Scott.

This is the Valentine Tyler took to school for all his friends.

These are the 3 he made for our neighbors that he plays with all the time.

9 Month Info

Molly, I am finally getting time to write about you turning 9 months. Here's what you've been up to:
You weigh 19 lbs 8 oz. and are 28.4 inches long
You still have no teeth, but are always chewing on everything.
You go through spurts of eating lots of baby food and then the next week not wanting any
You like mashes up bananas now
You are doing well on learning to drink from a sippy cup
You love the bath; you never disliked it, but now you have so much fun in the tub-splashing and you do cry when it's time to get out
You love your brother and will laugh and laugh at him
You do push your brother away when he's too close or bothering you
You love playing peek-a-boo and will put the blanket, towel, your dress over your face yourself to play. You laugh and laugh. It's so cute!
You always take off your socks. When I say, Molly, where did your socks go, you just smile and grab your feet
You like playing "fetch" with Mommy and Daddy with your toys when we're out at the store, restaurant, church...
You're hair it getting so long; I can't believe how much you have
You like to try to pull the doggies hair
You love to pull Mommy's hair and when I tell you not to, you just giggle
You still love to read books and like turning the pages now yourself
You sometimes try to wave
You like to grunt and have me copy you
You like to stand up against the couch or ottoman-I have to help hold you or you would fall over, but you love to do that
I have been trying to get you to clap-I saw you two different times looking at your hands and then clap them together-it was so cute, but you won't do it for me
We have been putting you on your belly more to see if you'll start crawling, but you haven't figured it out yet
You are just a fun, sweet girl!!

Construction Site

When you come into our neighborhood, they have a cul-de-sac with the model homes. They are now selling them and building a new house on the one open lot. Today, Tyler and I walked down to see the men framing the house. Tyler loved it. We only stayed for about 15 min. since I needed to get home since Molly would be waking up. When we got home, Tyler talked Scott into going back with him. Tyler was so excited and so cute-he got together all his tools-2 tool boxes and his tool bag full of stuff. He put on his worker vest and tool belt and his hard hat. Once back at the site, he also put on his safety goggles. Here he is checking out the wood with his stud finder.

His best friend, Kyle came down to join him too. Here is Tyler offering him a tool to work with.

They were too adorable working together.

The workers got a kick out of them. One came down and asked Tyler if he wanted to help them, but he got all shy and hid behind me. I'm sure we'll be making trips daily to see what they're working on next.
