This is the view from the water. We went on a Duck Tour the next day that went on land and water.
There was a park to really swim in, but we were told it was deep and since I was the only one willing to get in with the kids, I didn't think I could handle both of them. One the other side was this little area where you could walk around. It was very mossy and slippery, but the kids loved it.
It was stinkin' hot there!! We had to cool off with some treats while we rode the train through Zilkler Park.
That evening, we swam in the hotel pool.
Wednesday morning, we went on an Austin Duck Tour. They are buses that can also go into the water. I thought it was interesting learning about Austin; Tyler not so much. Him and Molly just wanted to go in the water. They give you duck calls to blow on throughout the tour too.
By the time we got to the water, Molly was out. Scott even tried to wake her up, but she wouldn't.
We had the table right in front of the window, but it's hard to see
My Dad trying fried alligator. He wasn't a fan. Tyler loved it though!
It was a fun visit to Austin. |
