This past week, my friend, Amy came over with her kiddos and we had a science day. It was a lot of fun.
 |
| We first did, "will it dissolve?" |
Next we mixed oil and colored water in bottles. Then we put in an Alka-Seltzer tablet and it bubbles up to the top. The kids really liked it.
Then we put vinegar in a bottle and but some baking soda in a balloon. You put the balloon on the bottle and shake in the baking soda. The reaction blows up the balloon.
We mixed colors too.
We also made raisins dance. You fill a cup with 7 up or something similar, then drop in the raisins. The carbonation bubbles onto the raisins making them drop to the bottom of the cup and then bounce back up and keeps repeating that.
Wednesday, we went to the Witte Museum with Amy and the kids again. It was a fun museum with lots to do.

| This is a pulley that you pull yourself up on. |

 |
| You insert a penny and the move the lever up and down to flatten it. Below is the penny Tyler did. |
 |
| Tyler riding a bike on a wire! So talented |
 |
| Up the wall he goes! He really liked this rock wall |
 |
| This fish was called a Sailfin Molly. The water was behind the museum, so I like to think Molly was looking for her fish in the next picture, but she was really looking for ducks. |
 |
| This is Tyler lowing the metal door to block the water. |
They had this really cool tree house that the kids loved.
They also had a dinosaur exhibit going on. At first, Molly was a little scared, but by the end she was waving to them. They roared and their heads moved, mouths opened, and front claws moved.

| Digging for dinosaur bones |
 |
| They had to get on the elephant in front of the museum. |
