4th of July Weekend

Thursday evening, Scott's friend, Patrick arrived from Shreveport.  That evening we went out to dinner at Chuy's.

Friday morning, Scott and Patrick met up with their friend, Jeff from Houston to golf.  

That evening, we all met up with Jeff's family for some BBQ. 

Jeff, Tambrey, and their daughter, Zoe came back to the house after dinner.  Zoe is big into Minecraft, so her and Tyler connected and played for awhile.  We also did a few fireworks and sparklers before they left. 

Saturday, July 4th, we started out the morning by going to Top Golf.  The kids love it and we always have a good time.

 

 

 

That evening, my friend, Rachel and her family joined us for a cookout, badminton, and fireworks.  It was such a fun time.  We normally only buy sparklers and a few little things, but Patrick always does it big.  So we had some fun fireworks-we had tanks, parachutes, lady bugs, saucers, roman candles,big ones he lit that went high and were big. The last two he lit had 45 fireworks between the two.  The pictures aren't great, but I'll post a few.  There will be no going back-the kids will want this every year now.

I have to add in this picture of Molly and Patrick!  She just loved him!

She loved climbing on him and he played with her and was silly with her.  She "read" books to him.  On Saturday night I said something about him leaving and Molly asked where he was going and I told her home-her little lip came out and she started crying!  She told Daddy we need to make a trip to Shreveport soon.  Patrick calls games for Northwestern State and will be back here in October. 

Today we finished off our weekend by going to the pool.  It will be early to bed for all of us tonight.
