Molly's Unicorn Party

Saturday was the big day-Molly's Unicorn 5th birthday party.  It went well even though it rained and we had to stay inside.  We had a few games, a pinata that Scott had to rig up inside, lunch, cake, and present time.  I think everyone had a good time.  Molly loved it!
When the guest arrived, Molly gave them a unicorn headband.  My wonderful mom made them and they turned out so cute.  The party favors were these cute jars with a unicorn on top and with glitter play-doh inside. We spray painted the unicorns white, then Molly painted their horns with glitter silver paint and we hot glued them to the tops; we made the glitter play-doh, and then Molly cut out the circles to put in the jars.

The unicorn pictures says: Always be yourself unless you can be a unicorn, then always be a unicorn.

The kids played two games plus had the pinata.  We had a Skittle Relay. There were two teams.  Each child would draw a number, run down to a bowl of skittles, eat the number of skittles that they drew, then run back and the next player would go.  The kids enjoyed it.  We also had Pin the Horn on the Unicorn.  Molly painted the unicorn and did a great job. The game was fun too.

For lunch, we had pb&j, rolls with lunch meat and cheese, fruit, and chips. The next picture shows the cute center pieces we made.
Molly with her best friend, Kaelyn from preschool and her friend, Ayla on the right.

Friends having lunch!  At least the kids were able to eat outside on the porch.

Uncle Brett, Aunt Carman, and Vienne came over for the party.

We had cake, cupcakes with mini ice cream cones on top to look like unicorn horns, chocolate covered pirouettes, and cupcake chex mix
A few more pictures of the birthday girl! In the second one, she shows how she really feels about taking pictures.  She had a special unicorn headband that Grandma made her.
