Last Saturday I had a little pain in my stomach. That night I felt a little bump. Scott said-oh no, it's a hernia. Sunday, I went to my friend, Brooke's house. She's an ER nurse and she confirmed it was a hernia. She tried to push it back in, but could not. Monday I went to a surgeon another friend recommended to me. He had done her hernia surgery back in December. He said he could get me in Tuesday or next Tuesday, the 12th. I chose Tuesday, the next day. Surgery went well. It took me a little bit to come out of the anesthesia. I was pretty light headed and nauseous. I was home that evening and Miss Molly has not left my side other than for preschool. She has been so sweet. She's slept in our room, helps me up, holds my hand if I go anywhere, give me lots of hugs and arm rubs, tells me to let her know if I need anything...she's been so sweet. Scott took all week off too to take care of me and the kids. Tyler's been helpful when he's been home too. I'm not gonna lie-this little incision hurts! Today it doesn't hurt as bad to sit up and lay down. I've been sneezing today, so that's no fun. The doctor said it'd hurt for 2 days and after about a week, I should be up moving around, doing normal things. So we'll see.
